It would be helpful to note in the description of the tour that this is not a private tour and the tour does not allow time for taking multiple selfies, shopping along the way and so on. WE were a group of 5 persons and we had to wait for a couple who stopped to shop 2 times, took selfies multiple times and the rest of us had to wait. The guide let them know that we had to get to the Recoleta cemetery by 1700hrs and that we had many things to see before that but this appeared to fall on deaf ears. In fact, they told me the tour should start earlier to accommodate for shopping and so on.

Sylvia was highly knowledgeable of and passionately conversant in the cultural, social, and political history of Buenos Aires and made this a very enlightening experience for me. She easily switched between English and Spanish for the benefit of those among us who were stronger in one or both. Every corner, stop or tombstone had its fascinating story. We kept rushing toward the end to make it in time (to shortly before closing) to the vast visual and historic wealth of the Recoleta Cemetery. HER very apt USE OF THIS LATTER FEATURE as a teaching tool might have come earlier in the tour (although the Sun mightve been merciless at noon) perhaps after the lunch stop in the San Telmo Mercado and I would recommend skipping the touristy hanging umbrella street (which is seen in Most Latin American Cities and not at all special... focus on S.Telmo as she did and maybe leave BOCA for last... as that probably stays open past 6p. She did an amazing job of staying on pace & definitely can conduct a tour of the Cemetery as it's Own Tour! Fascinating.

Denise was outstanding! It was good to have her all to ourselves. She was very sensitive and set a perfect pace. This very important for my husband who walks with a stick. We were given some very interesting information about the history of Argentina in addition to what life is like living here. I would thoroughly recommend this activity.

Fantastic walking tour in Buenos Aires

We did a one day walking tour through Tangol San Telmo which was perfect introduction to the city. The tour was a mix of walking, subway and public bus. Our guide was lovely, spoke beautiful English and had huge knowledge of Argentinian history and current affairs. As a qualified architect, she was able to provide great information about the buildings and monuments we visited. It was more like wandering the town with an intelligent friend than taking a tour. This tour would be perfect if you only have a short time in the city or as an intro to orient yourself. Couldn't recommend this tour highly enough. Staff in the San Telmo Tangol office are also very friendly and extra helpful.

En lo que respecta a la atencion prestada por el personal de tangol no tengo ningun reparo, por el contrario destaco la oportunidad de sus servicios y la buena disposicion asi como de la orientacion permanente. De mi ultimo destino en ushuaia bueno quedo pendiente una noche que no utilice por el tema de los vuelos suspendidos, no se si eso tenga alguna devolucion o se pierda.

The guide was informative, but very careless and did not warn me about pickpockets in San Telmo Market. I was robbed of my camera with all of my photos of Argentina, this being the last day of my holiday. After I was robbed she then suggested that she looked after my video camera in her locked bag......why she didn't do this befoe entering the Market is unforgiveable.
