Piriápolis is a Uruguayan seaside resort in the department of Maldonado, located 98 kilometers east of the capital and most populated city in Uruguay, Montevideo. It has a fixed population of 8,830 inhabitants, although the floating population is much larger, especially between December and March. It was the first seaside resort in the country.
Every summer the city of Piriápolis receives thousands of tourists, mainly from Argentina and Uruguay.
The beach is more than 20 km. long with calm waters ideal to enjoy the sea.
