From the moment we pick you up at your hotel
in Iquitos, an incredible adventure in the stunning Amazon rainforest begins. Our transportation takes us to the Bellavista Nanay port, a vibrant meeting point of the Amazon that
warmly welcomes you. Here, we board our boat, ready to embark on a journey
through one of the most breathtaking ecosystems on the planet.
We navigate
along the Nanay River basin, a
natural setting that gradually immerses us in the magic of the jungle. Soon, we
witness an awe-inspiring phenomenon: the meeting of its waters with the mighty Amazon River. Throughout the journey,
we will captivate you with fascinating stories about the history, culture, and
biodiversity of the Amazon. And if the season allows, we may even spot pink
dolphins.
Next, we will
have an enriching encounter with the native
Yagua tribe. Here, you will appreciate exquisite handmade crafts while
learning about their way of life and their efforts to preserve the surrounding
ecosystem.
Our adventure
continues to the famous Monkey Island,
a natural sanctuary where rescued monkeys of various species roam freely.
You’ll have the unique opportunity to observe these playful Amazonian inhabitants
up close, watch them interact among the trees, and gain insight into their
behavior in their natural habitat.
Back on the
boat, we set off to enjoy a delicious lunch
at a lodge. As you savor traditional regional dishes, you can relax and
admire the vastness of the river, where the water and sky seem to merge into a
single breathtaking landscape.
The adventure
doesn’t end there! We will engage in an exciting activity—piranha fishing. As we fish along the Amazon River, our guide will
share interesting facts about this fascinating species that inhabits the
Peruvian jungle.
As the
afternoon progresses, we begin our return to Iquitos. Upon arriving in the
city, we bid farewell with the certainty of having experienced an authentic
adventure in one of the most incredible places on Earth.
We will
conclude our journey at a central location, just one block from the Plaza de
Armas.
