We will
meet at Plaza El Regocijo, where we
will board a tourist vehicle that will take us to a unique destination: the
Llaullipata ecological reserve, located near the impressive Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park.
Our destination is the Cusco Planetarium, a fascinating place that has been operating with
photovoltaic solar energy since 2007 and is committed to preserving the
environment and Mother Earth. Equipped
with professional telescopes, this site offers an amazing experience for those
eager to uncover the mysteries of the cosmos, as long as weather conditions
allow.
Upon arrival, we will begin a journey into Inca astronomy. First, in the auditorium, we will learn how the
astronomy played an important role
in the Inca civilization, from
agriculture to sacred rituals.
Next, inside the dome, we will enjoy a spectacular virtual projection of the southern
hemisphere’s sky, where an expert will unveil the secrets of Inca
constellations such as the Southern Cross and the Milky Way.
If the night sky permits, the experience will culminate
with direct telescope observation of
celestial bodies, allowing us to admire the stars and appreciate the magic of
the Andean constellations.
Finally, we will return to Cusco, concluding our
adventure at Plaza El Regocijo, with the memory of a starry night that will
remain in our hearts forever.
