At 7:00 am we will meet at our meeting point for a journey of approximately 2 and a half hours to the northeast of the city of Quito, behind the Guagua Pichincha basins. During the journey we will go through beautiful scenery, observing an incredible change in flora and fauna, and we will be able to feel the climate change as we move from the highlands to the coastal region.
Our first stop will be at the viewpoint of the crater of the Pululahua volcano, there we will be around 20 minutes to observe this beautiful landscape and take pictures.
Once we arrive in Mindo, we will visit the orchidarium for an hour where we will be able to observe more than 200 species of orchids and the luck of seeing hummingbirds. Then, we will go to visit the butterfly farm, a place we will have to visit early to appreciate the active and flying butterflies.
Finishing the visit to the butterfly farm and the orchidarium, you will have the opportunity to choose to practice some of the extreme sports that this place offers such as Canopy, Biking, Tubing and Buggis. Or you can also choose to take a walk in the cloud forest with a total of three or four hours, there we will visit waterfalls and we will be able to go up in a little tarabita.
After these activities, we will have lunch and go to another butterfly farm where we can observe hummingbirds and toucans.
At around 3:00 pm we will return to the city of Quito, arriving at approximately 5:00 pm.
