Our vehicle will pick you up promptly at your accommodation and from there we will take the route for 30 minutes to Calabazo, the third entrance to Tayrona Park.

  • 7:15 AM Breakfast:  We will have breakfast on the outskirts of Tayrona Park, it will be a typical Colombian breakfast with the most native products of the Caribbean region. While we have breakfast the guide will be in charge of buying tickets to the park and to carry out the mandatory entry registration of each traveler.

  • 08:00 AM First walk: During the early hours of the morning, we will enjoy the cool of the jungle as we enter the natural park towards the Taikú Town.

< span style=" font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; vertical-align: baseline; -wrap;">The path is well signposted and you can enjoy the beauty of the tropical forest as you go. As you go, you will find exotic flowers, hidden waterfalls and the intoxicating aroma of the jungle that mixes with the sea breeze.

The journey lasts approximately two hours, where each step brings you closer to the mysterious past of the Taikú Town.

  • 10:00 AM Arrival at Taikú Town: We will begin a guided tour accompanied by an expert guide from the Kogui community, who will teach us the most curious facts about the history and culture of the place.

Pueblito Taikú was a sacred place of great importance to the Tayrona. It is believed that it was used for religious ceremonies, rituals and community meetings.

You will be able to explore the circular structures made of stone and the stepped terraces that were part of this ancient indigenous settlement. The Tayrona were known for their deep respect and connection with nature. They considered that all forms of life were sacred and lived in harmony with their environment. In Taikú Village, the buildings and design of the settlement reflect this special relationship with nature, so you will feel in harmony with the magical environment that surrounds you.

  • 11:30 AM Descent to Boca del Saco: We will begin the descent towards Boca del Saco, a prominent point on the route from Pueblito Taikú to Cabo San Juan.

We will walk downhill for an hour until we find Boca del Saco. This place will welcome you with an impressive panoramic view where the river meets the Caribbean Sea. It is a spectacular scene that combines freshness of fresh water with the strength and splendor of the ocean. You will have a few minutes to cool off in its waters and take the most wonderful photos.

  • 12:45 PM: Hike to Cabo San Juan: We will advance on a light walk for another fifteen minutes in search of one of the most iconic beaches of Tayrona Park: Cabo San Juan.

< span style=" font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; vertical-align: baseline; -wrap;">Here you can enjoy panoramic views, relax on the beach, swim in the sea, take photographs and if you are more adventurous, you can explore the trails near Cabo San Juan on your own, discovering the unique flora and fauna that inhabit Tayrona Park. You will be able to marvel at waterfalls, natural wells and abundant wildlife.

Around 1:30 PM we will meet again to enjoy a delicious lunch with local food based on fresh fish and seafood; and then continue enjoying the crystalline beach and its surroundings.

  • 03:00 PM Walk to The Pool: We continue our tour with a 20-minute walk to La Piscina, it is a natural pool with calm waters where you can swim and cool off.

  • 03:45 PM Hike to Arenillas Arrecifes: We will continue the journey for 15 more minutes along a sandy path until we reach Arenillas, a beautiful beach ideal for taking photographs and enjoying the panoramic views of the coast.

We will continue another 15 minutes to Arrecifes, another scenic beach where you can marvel at the landscape and relax on the shores of the coast.

These last two scenarios are ideal for capturing the most impressive photographs of the park.

  • 04:45 PM Last walk: We will begin the last trail of the day, a 1-hour ecological tour from Arrecifes to Cañaveral to reach the parking lot.

The path winds through tall, dense trees, creating a magical and refreshing atmosphere. As you go, you can hear the birds singing and the rustling of leaves moved by the sea breeze. We will cross small streams and pass through areas where you can see various species of birds such as toucans and parrots, insects such as butterflies and beetles and, if you are lucky, even some larger mammals such as the anteater and raccoons.

  • We will board the car at the parking lot and return to your accommodation, where our beautiful journey for the day will end.
