We will meet in San Antonio (Carrera 5 #3-02), according to the time you have selected, to begin our fascinating tour of the Historic Center. We experience the true essence of the Colombian capital of salsa while we explore the following most emblematic places: 

  • Caicedo Square: The Plaza de Caicedo is the civic and social epicenter of Cali. Named in honor of the Colombian hero Jorge Isaacs Caicedo, the square is surrounded by historical buildings such as the Government of Valle del Cauca and the Mayor`s Office of Cali. It is a vibrant place where Cali people congregate for cultural and social events.

  • Saint Peter`s Cathedral:  The Cathedral is an impressive religious building that combines baroque and neoclassical elements. Built between the 18th and 19th centuries, it is one of the main architectural symbols of Cali. Its interior houses works of sacred art and its façade is a mix of elegance and monumentality.

  • Jorge Isaacs Theater: The Municipal Theater is an important historical and cultural theater in Cali. Inaugurated in 1928, it bears the name of the Cali writer Jorge Isaacs and has been the scene of numerous theatrical presentations, musicals and high-level cultural events.

  • Monument to the NICHE Group: This monument pays tribute to the NICHE Group, one of the most emblematic bands of Colombian salsa. It is a meeting point for music lovers and a place where Cali`s cultural and musical legacy is celebrated.

  • Plazoleta Jairo Varela: La Plazoleta is a public space dedicated to the founder and leader of the Group NICHE, Jairo Varela. It is a meeting place and celebration of Cali salsa, with sculptures and murals that highlight the NICHE Group`s contribution to local culture.
