We will begin our experience by departing at 6:30 a.m. approximately from Santiago towards the Cajón del Maipo, a spectacular Andean canyon located 900 meters above sea level in the Pre-Cordillera of Santiago, known for its natural beauty and adventure activities. This picturesque place, nestled in the mountains, will surprise you with its local life and the samples of typical cuisine that you can find along the way.
We will have time to stop for breakfast at one of the local eateries (not included in the cost) before continuing on to the Cascadas.
During the journey through Cajón del Maipo, we will enjoy stunning panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains, rivers, and lush vegetation. The fresh air and natural beauty will surround us as we delve deeper into the heart of the mountain range.
The highlight of the excursion will be the visit to the spectacular Embalse El Yeso, a beautiful reservoir with turquoise waters surrounded by high mountains. We will also visit the Cascada Escondida, where the contrast of bright blue water with the white of the snow and the green of the vegetation creates a visually striking landscape.
We will have time to explore the surroundings. Both in Cajón del Maipo and at Embalse El Yeso, we will find many picturesque spots to take photographs, from majestic mountains to serene waters; every corner will be an opportunity to capture memorable moments.
On our way back, we will visit the Chocolate House, a must-stop, and the Plaza San José de Maipo, before continuing our return to the starting point.
