We will start the adventure, leaving from San Pedro at the agreed time to explore these landscapes and contrasts in the heart of the arid desert of the world.
We will reach the starting point in the Angostura Canyon, a lush geological formation with rock walls rising on both sides of the river.
The trekking from the Río Grande is an oasis in the middle of the desert, offering an impressive contrast with the arid landscape that surrounds it. Its vegetation and the freshness of the water create a calm and refreshing atmosphere.
The water meanders through the canyon, forming natural pools and small waterfalls, offering opportunities to cool off.
As we continue along the riverbed, we will venture deeper into the desert, and the vegetation will become increasingly scarce. The rocky formations will begin to dominate the landscape, revealing an impressive geology with surprising colors and textures.
Finally, we will arrive at the Río Salado, a river that is mostly dry, meandering through a bed of salt and rock. This lunar landscape will leave us speechless as we walk across the vast expanses of salt and admire the unique geological formations sculpted over the centuries.
This trekking is an experience of contrast and diversity that will allow us to explore two completely different ecosystems in a single day. From the exuberance of the Río Grande to the austerity of the Río Salado, we will feel connected to the majesty of the Atacama Desert as we journey through this impressive adventure.
Don’t miss it, we hope to see you!
