We will begin our day by departing from the passenger hotels in Castro heading north, to the small town of Quemchi, to reach our destination: the Chaiguen Adventure Park. Here we will go into the native forest trails, where trees like myrtles, tepas, cinnamon trees and ulmos abound, until we reach a beautiful waterfall of the Chaiguen River.
Here, as an option, we can do canopy, rappel or kayak. We will be inside the park for two hours, so we must make the most of the time!
We will continue our trip towards the south, where we will visit a small island called Aucar, which is crossed by a wooden footbridge at 400 meters. Here we will find a botanical garden, an old cemetery and a wooden chapel, which we will take a walk through to get to know up close.
After passing through Aucar, we will visit Tenaun. Here we will have time for lunch (optional) at Agroturismo Mirella, where we will be able to taste local specialties, and we will also have time to visit the town and its beautiful church, unique in its architecture as it has three towers.
After lunch, we will return to the main road, where we will make a detour to visit the Tocoihue waterfall, the highest in Chiloé, where the river falls in an impressive 40 meter fall.
At the end, we will return to the passengers` hotels in Castro.
