We will visit the Church of Saints Cosmas and Diamião from 1535, one of the oldest Catholic temples in Brazil. We will head towards Itamaracá Island, passing through the town of Itapissuma “Land of Crustaceans”, on the edge of the Santa Cruz Channel.
By crossing the Getúlio Vargas Bridge, we will reach the Itamaracá Island where we will enjoy a beautiful landscape formed for its spectacular beaches and serene waters, historical monuments, and flavors of tropical fruits. We will stay there for approximately 4 hours.
Additionally, you can visit the Coroa do Avião Island leaving by boat from the Port of Orange. Coroa do Avião is a less crowded island with beautiful crystal clear waters, ideal for swimming and eating in restaurants with a variety of fish, shellfish, oysters and other specialties. (optional)
We will continue the journey to see the amazing view panoramic view of the Ruins of São João Mill built in the 17th century where sugar cane was formerly produced and which was the home of government advisor João Alfredo Corrêa de Oliveira who was a Brazilian politician and abolitionist. From there, we will return to Recife.
