Day
1: Transfer
to the Amazon Ecopark, upon arrival, enjoy a welcome juice and the
presentation of the lodge.
During
your stay, choose from the following activities: the hours of the
activities/tours will be coordinated by the operations department
local and informed upon arrival.
TOUR
TO THE "MEETING OF THE WATERS"
(only
available for passengers with pick-up - hotels or airport - until 08:30
hours).
Output
to ECOPARK aboard a regional double-decker boat. The ship goes down
the Negro River navigating along the coast of the city of Manaus, which
allows passengers to see the Amazon Theater, the Port of Manaus, Customs
and interesting aspects of local life, for example, the stilt houses.
Arrival at "The Meeting of the Waters" at 11:30 am.
It is
a spectacular fusion of the Negro and Solimões rivers. From this point,
both rivers form the famous Amazon River that runs to the Atlantic Ocean.
The waters of the two rivers run together for about 12 km, side by side, without
mingle. The phenomenon occurs due to differences in temperature, density
and speed of river waters.
The
optional lunch will be served in a typical restaurant (rustic restaurant but
clean with buffet style, international and regional dishes). Duration: 8 to 9
hours.
NATURE WALK
The
Biodiversity is the main characteristic of ECOPARK. Includes species not
cataloged in virgin rainforests, natural savannahs and streams. For him
local also run several streams of crystalline and warm waters.
During the tour, the guide will lead, educating about the local flora and fauna,
how and where to find edible fruits and drinking water, first aid,
how to walk in the forest and much more. Duration: 1 to 3 hours (depending on
the health conditions of the participants).
FOREST
OF MONKEYS
The
establishment of rehabilitation and reintroduction of wild animals in its
habitat (known as Bosque de Monos), was created in 1991 with the intention of
receive animals seized from illegal trade. This is a project
jointly with the Municipal Secretary of Environment and Sustainability. In
this center, the animals are initially placed in quarantine to be
evaluated and cared for by a team of veterinarians and biologists. in association
with FFV (Live Forest Foundation), a non-profit institution
supervised by Amazon Ecopark Lodge, a system of
single feed. Twice a day (10:30 and 15:30), the animals receive
supplements from their natural diet, ensuring that they are being fed with
the necessary nutrients.
The
Bosque de los Monos is open to guests at feeding times,
always accompanied by an accredited professional, which allows
Guests film and photograph these animals in a natural and safe environment.
Eventually the monkeys may not show up, there are factors in nature
(breeding season, heavy rains) that can interfere with the
presence of monkeys. Duration: 40 minutes to 1 hour.
IMPORTANT!
Twice a year the monkeys go away for 2-3 weeks to travel the
forest and demarcate their land. During this period it will not be possible to view the
monkeys, only the ones in quarantine.
VISIT TO THE HOUSE OF CABOCLOS
Exit
from the lodge in a motorized boat or canoe, accompanied by a bilingual guide
to learn about the traditions and customs of the local Amazonians
("native").

WALK
FISHING
Output
from the lodge in paddle or motorized canoes, accompanied by a bilingual guide.
(Fishing for piranhas and other species, depending on the season). Note: It is fishing not
professional.

TOUR
NIGHT CANOEING
Exit
from the lodge in rowing or motorized canoes, to appreciate the sounds of the
jungle at night, with the possibility of observing small alligators (or other
nocturnal creatures). Alligators are seen because their eyes shine like little
red lights. Once the guide`s focus locates the alligator, he will attempt to catch
a small alligator with his bare hands and take it to the canoe, and follows a
Brief explanation of its habitat. The alligator will then be released in a manner
safely back to the river. (No harm is done to any of the animals.)
Duration: around 1 hour.
Note:
during the "high water" season (April to August) and
on nights with a full moon, alligators can be hard to spot.
Day 2: Lodge Activities
Day 3: Transfer back to Manaus.
