Day 1
We will leave the port of Manaus at 9 am, boarding a boat that will take us along the Rio Negro to a town called Cacau Pirera, which is about 30 minutes away by boat. We will be welcomed by the locals and after a brief introduction to their culture, we will make a 50 minute trip to another town, Paricatuba. There, our motorized canoes will take us to the Lodge (located 85 km from Manaus).
We will arrive at noon and enjoy lunch.
After lunch, our bilingual guide will take us on a canoe trip through small rivers to fish for piranhas. Later that day, a night expedition will allow you to see alligators and other wild animals that hide during the day.
Once we return to the Lodge, we will have dinner and then have a well deserved rest.
Day 2
We will have an early breakfast, and then take an educational walk of 2 and a half hours in the jungle. During the walk, the guide will teach you about the medicinal plants and trees of the Amazon rainforest. In addition, there is a good chance of finding a native wild animal. After the walk, we will return to the Lodge for lunch and have free time to swim in the colorful waters of the Rio Negro.
After a few hours, we will start our journey back to Manaus, arriving around 5 pm.
