Our tour of Florianópolis, the famous Floripa , takes you from north to south of the city to visit several tourist attractions.
We start in the center, where you can visit the viewpoint of Ponte Hercílio Luz , one of the largest suspension bridges in the world, opened in 1926, it was the first bridge that connected the city with the State of Santa Catarina; the Largo da Alfândega , which underwent restoration by the government and is now considered one of the city`s postcards; the Metropolitan Cathedral, which has a beautiful collection of sacred art, such as works by the artist Demetz Groeden and his famous sculpture "Escape to Egypt"; Praça 15 de Novembro , which houses large historic buildings, such as the monument in honor of the heroes killed in the Paraguayan War and large trees, such as Figueira Centenário ; and the Palácio Cruz e Sousa , which currently houses the Historical Museum of Santa Catarina, but was once the Palace of the State Government and received visits from emperors Dom Pedro I and Dom Pedro II.
To the east, we will visit Lagoa da Conceição , one of the main tourist attractions in the city, with the largest lagoon in Floripa , mountains, dunes and beaches, we will also go to Joaquina beaches , considered one of the best and very frequented by surfers because of the strong waves, Praia Mole, with green water and very clean and we will stop for lunch at Barra da Lagoa , where the largest number of fishermen and a rich local culture are concentrated. After eating, we will go to the Projeto Tamar, there you will meet countless species of sea turtles through a guided visit, you can feed them and see the animals return to the sea. An ideal ride for children, as it contains an interactive children`s space. (The Tamar Project ticket is not included)
We will finish our tour north of Florianópolis. We will go to Praia dos Ingleses, which contains a great infrastructure and is the ideal destination for tourists; the Balneário de Jurerê , perfect for those who love to cool off in calm waters; we will also travel to the fort of São José da Ponta Grossa , built in 1740, listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage, there you will find photographic exhibitions, buildings of the time, archaeological excavations , a chapel and the source of the region`s water supply; and finally, we will go to Canasvieiras , one of the most frequented beaches due to its calm waters.
