From La Paz you will be driven to Los Yungas. Throughout the 2 hours drive you will enjoy the great landscape views as they offer a great deal of contact. These will include; La Cumbre at heights of 4,650 m/15,255 ft, the crossing of an Andean pass, snow-capped mountains with impressive glaciers and then beautiful descending to Yolosa at 1,150 m.a.s.l. / 3,772 ft. reaching the entrance of the Amazonian rainforest.
Arriving in Yolosa you will visit La Senda Verde a unique Wildlife Refuge. This project started in 2003 as a typical ecotourism lodge but soon after in 2004 the founders started rescuing the first animals; a capuchin monkey and two parrots. La Senda Verde has now become the safe haven for over 450 animals including varied types of monkeys, birds, two Andean Bears, turtles and snakes.
After La Senda Verde and the Aruma Bear tour (Combo Tour) the trip continues to the Café Munaipata (near Coroico) where lunch is served. Café Munaipata is a small coffee company that only uses locally and organically produced coffee therefore, promoting local sustainable practices.
After lunch there is a short visit to the coffee plantations before returning to La Paz.
