We will start together at the Ushuaia tourist pier where the check-in takes place. in our office.
We will board the bus and take route 3 to, after approximately 2 hours, arrive at the Harberton Ranch, where we will board a covered semi-rigid boat. We will sail for 15 minutes to reach Martillo Island. There we will get off the boat, with a specialized guide, to stay on the island for an hour.
While we walk along marked paths so as not to invade the penguins` natural habitat, we will be able to see more than 1,000 nests of the Magellanic species and around 9 nests of the Papuan species, the only ones in South America. This is the perfect habitat for penguins, as there are very few predators in the area, abundant food and the soil and vegetation provide adequate shelter for nests and breeding.
We will always be accompanied by a guide who will teach us about the life of these magnificent seabirds and will also ensure that the regulations are met. Island rules of conduct.
Once in that place , we will use a semi-rigid zodiac boat that will take us to the island. After a 15-minute boat ride, we will take a 1-hour ride to explore the community of Gentoo and Magellanic penguins b>with the company of our guide.
We begin the return to Ushuaia by bus.
