The tour begins when we pick you up in a private car exclusively for the group, at your centrally located hotel in Salta.
From there, we head to Plaza 9 de Julio, the heart of the city, surrounded by historic buildings such as the Cathedral Basilica, an architectural gem not only on the façade but inside as well. A few steps away we will see the Cabildo, where we will learn a little about the colonial past with its museum that tells the history of the region.
Then, we visit the Casa de Uriburu, where pieces referring to the customs and traditions of that time are exhibited. We continue to the Convent of San Francisco, famous for its great bell tower, one of the tallest in South America. Next, we will visit the San Bernardo Convent, one of the oldest buildings in Salta, built in the 16th century.
We will climb San Bernardo Hill to enjoy panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. From the viewing point, you will be able to appreciate all the beauty that surrounds Salta. We will descend to visit the Monument to General Martín Miguel de Güemes, a hero of independence who defended the northwest of Argentina, and the February 20 Monument, which commemorates the Battle of Salta.
We will head towards the Quebrada de San Lorenzo, a natural paradise ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature and a resting place for the people of Salta. Finally, we will visit the Artisan Market, where you can find unique crafts and take home a souvenir of your visit.
The tour concludes with the return to your hotel, having experienced the rich history, culture and natural beauty of Salta.
