Our activity begins at 07:00 AM with the pick up at your hotel located in the downtown area of Salta. We will go to the south of the province, along national route No. 68, until reaching the CIARG, Guachipas Rock Art Interpretation Center.
/b>, considered one of the main attractions of Guachipas and the site with the highest archaeological hierarchy in the Lerma Valley.
Our visit continues towards the rocky hill. Eaves, caves and walls of red sandstone contain numerous representations of camelids, condors, felines and other native animals, as well as geometric and abstract figures. The surprising Guachipas Painted Caves were built between the 9th and 15th centuries by the native peoples who inhabited this region.
< div style="text-align: justify;">The most striking thing is in some red, black and white figures that look like warriors, known as shield-men. Contemplating them means traveling back in time to that distant era, imagining those men and women, remembering their harmonious relationship with nature and, above all, respecting their legacy.
Around noon, we will take National Route 68 back and we will head towards the Cabra Corral Reservoir, there we will have free time to have lunch and appreciate the mirror of water of the dam of more than 130 km².
After the break, we will visit Finca Santa Anita, where family and local commitment have managed to rescue ancestral customs and unique pieces, shaping the first Tobacco Museum in Argentina. Typical productive activities such as the production of goat cheese, chili peppers, Creole tobacco and a collection of aromatic medicinal species and native trees, will make this visit a trip to the past full of aroma and ancient wisdom .
The services end around 6:00 p.m. with the drop off at your hotel in Salta
