The adventure begins early in the morning when your transportation picks you up at your accommodation in Salta City. Once on board, the vehicle takes National Route 40 north.
The first stop is the Los Graneros Incas archaeological site. Here we go back in time and see how the ancient inhabitants of the region lived. The well-preserved stone structures and the stories told by the guide provide an insight into their way of life.
After the visit, we head towards Devil`s Bridge, a natural cavern formed over the Calchaquí River. This spectacular site offers a unique opportunity to see the meltwater flowing through the cavern, creating a natural wonder. We will be given the necessary equipment to explore the inside of the cave.
After walking through the cave, we take a break to enjoy a snack while we take in the beautiful surroundings.
Continuing with the excursion, we cross the Cuesta del Obispo, a winding road that climbs through the mountains, offering panoramic views of the valley and rock formations. The next stop is the Los Cardones National Park, known for its abundance of giant cacti that stand majestically against the blue sky. This place is ideal for taking pictures and learning about the local flora and fauna.
The trip continues to Los Gemelos, two twin rock formations that stand out in the landscape, and then reaches the charming town of La Poma. At this stop, passengers will get off to walk around the town, interact with the locals, and learn more about the culture and traditions of the region.
Towards evening, we will be returning to the city of Salta.
