Early in the morning we will leave from our selected hotels to head towards National Route 101, a route used by settlers, tourists and locals visiting their families. From here, we will approach the Gendarmerie post where our adventure will begin.
We will prepare the equipment and bicycles. We use Scott bikes to travel a 10 km dirt road, and its possible obstacles can be puddles, mud, stones and steep slopes. We will start to travel 2 km along the route until we enter the path inside the jungle, where we will pedal 3 more km until we reach the shore of the Iguazú River. From here, depending on our physical level we can travel greater distances enjoying this incredible wild and little explored landscape.
We will make interpretive stops along our route, where we will have chances to see small mammals, birds and butterflies. Increasing the chances of seeing them is one of our objectives. Therefore, this environment is ideal for understanding how the jungle works and how we should take care of it.
After the break, we will be returning again to our selected hotels in Puerto Iguazú.
