Esteros del Iberá is one of the sweet water reserve most important of the continent. It constitutes the biggest protected area in Argentina. It holds an important variety of fauna, which makes the area in an unique paradise.
Actually, it is a very important wildlife refugee. It holds 4 species which were declared natural province monument: “lobito de río”, “aguará guazú”, “venado de las pampas” and “ciervo de los pantanos”.
It houses the two caiman species there are in Argentina: “yacaré negro” and the “overo”.
Its ornithologist resources is represented by 350 bird species.
The Estero del Iberá is the epicenter of the reserve where people can do unequalable watches of the wild fauna.
