At 10:30 am the expert guide will be waiting for us at the meeting point located in the central area of El Chalten, from there we will travel by car to the Laguna Condor Refuge, located 20 kilometers north of the town and on the banks of the Río de las Vueltas.
Once at the shelter, we will receive an introductory talk about the activity together with the testing of the equipment and the placement of the safety elements (suits, neoprene boots and gloves, life jacket and helmet) . Before entering the river and immersing ourselves in its curvatures, we will review some movements and basic and safety techniques that will facilitate navigation.
Once in the river, we will begin the unique and fun descent, we will cross different meanders while we enjoy the beautiful Patagonian landscapes and unparalleled views of Mount Fitz Roy.
After 20 km and 3 and a half hours of kayaking we will reach El Chaltén. We will return to the meeting point where we can change our wet clothes, enjoy a well-deserved relaxation and close this beautiful adventure around 5:00 p.m.
** If you choose the "Half Day" option, the Kayak navigation along the River of the turns will be 10 km in 1 hour and a half, ending in the Bonanza Camp where you can change your clothes and take a break before getting on the vehicle that will take you back to El Chaltén, the drop off will be around 3pm.
