The experience begins when we pick you up at your hotel located in the city center and, traveling along Provincial Route No. 11, we will go to the Tierras Patagónicas Ranch 40kms from El Calafate next to Los Glaciares National Park.
On the way you will be able to enjoy an incredible view of Lake Argentino with the Andes mountain range in the background, as well as the native flora and fauna.
We will arrive at the Tierras Patagónicas Ranch and you will have free time to explore the surroundings of the ranch and then learn about the history of the place and enjoy the natural environment that surrounds the ranch.
Once finished, the visit, we will enjoy a pasta buffet dinner with panoramic views of the hills surrounding the Estancia.
After dinner, there will be a small 15-minute film screening that will allow you to introduce yourself to astronomy and anticipate what you will enjoy during the rest of the experience. Once the technical talk is over, we will begin with the stargazing where an astronomer will make the first presentations and guide you on how you should look at the sky, use the telescope, learn about the Milky Way, nebulae, stars, constellations, mythology, and much more.
In addition to stargazing, we will do night photography also called “Astrophotography” and we will also have fun doing Light Painting, a technique that paints with light on the photograph without using photoshop or any photo editing program.
After having enjoyed this incredible experience, we will begin the return to your hotel located in the center of the city of El Calafate.
