In the morning, your guide will pick it up from the 07:30 at your hotel in El Calafate to target Puerto La Soledad (Tranquila Bay, Punta Bandera area).
Arriving at the destination after an hour`s bus ride, we will board a modern catamaran at 09:00.
The navigation it begins heading northwest, passing through Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo -the narrowest passage of the lake, approximately 800 meters-. After two hours of navigation, the succession of icebergs of the most varied colors and shapes announce the proximity of the Uppsala glacier. We will stop in front of the barrier of icebergs that momentarily prevent entry to the Uppsala Channel, and, if weather conditions permit, we will admire the Upsala Glacier from a distance.
We will continue sailing through the Argentine Lake heading south, taking the Spegazzini Channel to reach the glacier of the same name. Navigation allows a striking approach to this glacier that has frontal walls between 80 and 135 meters above the lake level, making it the highest in the National Park.
The cruise ship has four exterior decks that allow you to see the surroundings from all points of the ship.
After observing the glacier, delicious gourmet food will be served on board while we enjoy this wonderful landscape.
Towards the afternoon, the cruise ship will arrive at -an extremely calm bay within the Spegazzini Channel-, where it will silence its engines to allow passengers to disembark and take a short, low-intensity trek, coordinated by our team of guides. We will walk for an hour through the Patagonian forest, on land where livestock farming was practiced. The path will take us to magnificent panoramic points where we can observe and take photographs of the Spegazzini Glacier from another perspective.
In the final part we will navigate to the Perito Moreno Glacier, where we will have a privileged view of the north wall of this still-growing ice giant.
Then we begin the return trip, arriving at the La Soledad Private Port at 5:00 p.m., from where we will take you back to your hotel in El Calafate .
In case you want to have a better experience Even more complete, we now offer you the option of disembarking in Puerto Moreno at approximately 3:30 p.m. to do 2 hours of trekking on the Footbridges and from there return to the hotels in El Calafate.
