Details of Day Tours

The walking tour begins at our offices located in the heart of San Telmo neighborhood. This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires and boasts a vibrant tango and arts scene. We will take Defensa Street heading south to visit the antique markets and admire the characteristic architecture, including the public lighting known as "faroles," cobblestone streets, old buildings, and period decorations.

We will reach Lezama Park, characterized by its tree-lined avenues, amphitheater, and the slope that descends towards Martín García and Paseo Colón avenues.

Once we leave the park, we will walk two blocks to reach the southern end of Puerto Madero, where we will cross the dock and walk along the opposite shore of the city. This neighborhood is the most modern in the city, composed of skyscrapers, exclusive restaurants, and hotels. We will arrive at the Puente de la Mujer (Women`s Bridge), a rotating bridge designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, representing a couple dancing tango.

We will cross the bridge to continue our walk along the opposite shore and reach Belgrano Avenue. We will turn onto Paseo Colón Avenue, and after three blocks, we will arrive at the historic Plaza de Mayo, where we can visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and observe the Cabildo (colonial town hall) and the Casa Rosada (Pink House), the executive branch headquarters. Our guide will tell us about the numerous historical and social events that took place in this location.

On the other side of the square, we will take Diagonal Norte, an important artery of the city that connects the Judicial Power (Supreme Court) with the Executive Power (Casa Rosada). We will arrive at the famous Obelisco de Buenos Aires, an icon of the city located in the center of Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world.

We will cross this avenue and continue walking along it until, after two blocks, we reach the Colon Theater. This opera house is considered one of the top five in the world due to its size, acoustics, and history.

If you chose the option to visit the Colon Theater, we will have the opportunity to end our tour with a guided tour inside the spectacular venue. We will enter the theater where we will meet our guide and a small group of visitors. From there, we will explore the Auditorium, the Main Foyer, the Busts Gallery, and the Golden Hall, where visitors can marvel at the architectural details, stairs, sculptures, ceilings, and stained glass. After a 50-minute visit, the tour will end at the theater`s entrance.

If you chose the option to visit the MALBA, in front of the theater, we will board a bus to travel to the Palermo neighborhood, where the MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires) is located. This museum was founded in September 2001 with the aim of collecting, preserving, studying, and promoting Latin American art from the early 20th century to the present day. It exhibits a collection of approximately 400 works by the region`s leading modern and contemporary artists. The tour concludes with the entrance to the museum, which is included, and you will have the opportunity to explore it at your own pace, taking the necessary time to observe each room and the different exhibitions.

You also have the option to choose the tour that includes a visit to both places. In this case, you will enter the Colon Theater, and after the guided tour, you will go with your guide to the MALBA, where, after providing you with the museum ticket, the tour ends at that location.
