This excursion begins with pick-up from hotels in downtown Bariloche starting at 01:00 PM. We head about 17 km west, passing by Playa Bonita until we reach the village at the foot of the mountain. During the journey, a guide will provide an explanation of the importance of this mountain for Bariloche and Argentina.
Once we arrive at the village, we will have time to shop and have lunch at the restaurants and cafés located there.
During spring/summer, we can reach the base of the mountain where there is no presence of snow, but as we ascend, the views from the mountain range are incredible. In winter, the mountain becomes the largest ski center in South America, with 120 kilometers of slopes covering approximately 600 hectares.
Next, we head to the chairlifts to ascend to the summit of Cerro Catedral. The guide will be waiting for us, and we can take the best photos of the mountain and nature, as well as enjoy panoramic views of Nahuel Huapi Lake, Gutiérrez Lake, the western mountain range, and the Chilean volcanic peaks. We can also catch a glimpse of the city of Bariloche.
Later on, we will have free time to rest and explore the surroundings.
Finally, around 05:00 PM, we will return to the city of Bariloche, where we will be dropped off at our hotel.
