We will start the tour at 8:30 am with a pick-up from centrally located hotels in the city of Bariloche to take route 258 to the southern part of Nahuel Huapi Park. We will do all this skirting the Manso River until we reach Josh`s Estancia, where we will be welcomed.
We will be greeted with coffee, we will put on our navigation equipment and then the head-guide will give us a safety talk. Once the explanation is finished, we will be ready to begin navigating the last stretch of the Manso River in Argentine territory. In the first section, the tranquility of the river allows us to appreciate the surroundings, enjoy the white sand beaches and observe the waterfalls that fall from above into the river.
As we advance, the Manso becomes more impetuous and in our raft we navigate exciting rapids through narrow canyons where the lush vegetation of the area appears: El Cajón de Terciopelo, Agujero de Ozono, Gritá y beblá a la izquierda, el Tobogancito, Garganta Profunda, Éxtasis, Huevo Revuelto, Colmillo and Internacional... The gorges accompany our journey through the Cordillera de los Andes.
Our navigation will conclude once we reach the border with Chile: the Border Marker is the one that crowns the place. We will load our equipment and head back to John`s Estancia along the new path that follows an old muleteer`s trail. Along the way, we will skirt streams and cross ravines.
Upon arriving at John`s Estancia, we will be amazed not only by the family`s warm hospitality, but also by the unparalleled beauty of this typical Patagonian estancia. Its picturesque house, its sheds, its beautiful garden and grove, reflect more than fifty years of work. This incredible landscape is complemented by the view of Cerro Bastión.
Once the excursion is over, we will return to the center of the city of Bariloche and drop you off at your centrally located hotel.
