Recife is one of the largest and most important cities of Brazil. This amazing place, founded by Dutch colonizers, has a vibrant culture, an interesting old town, and nice beaches.

This city is an urban place of high-rises, crowded commercial areas, thundering traffic, and suburbs. Its name comes to the offshore reefs that calm the waters of its ports and shoreline.

In the northern edge, you can find Olinda, the charming and quite historic town, in which tourists opt to stay. They prefer to visit Recife during the day but they can also enjoy its animated nightlife.

In Recife, there a lot of activities to do but here you will find four of them.

1. Visiting The Ricardo Brennand Institute: It is a non-profit cultural institution, which consists of an art gallery, library, a museum and a park. There, you will see Dutch Collections of the 17th century such as medieval weapons or rare books.
2. Boa Viagem Beach: It is the most popular beach. There, it is possible to admire the natural pools or lay down on the sand enjoying the sun's warmth. You can also go to Praça de Boa Viagem and find stunning homes, hotels, and restaurants.
3. The Golden Chapel: Visit Capela Dourada (the Golden Chapel) and admire the architecture dedicated to the Franciscan Order. This chapel was built in 1697. The chapel's arches are indescribable, the lateral niches are dedicated to Saint Cosme and San Damiano, and the statutes of Santa Isabel and Senhor dos Passos will leave you breathless.
4. Mirabilandia Amusement Park: It is the third-largest park of Brazil. It is a thematic park where you can go with your family. There it is possible to see a small waterfall, beautiful gardens, and haunted houses. In Addition, the park was created with the intention of bringing ecological awareness to the public.

Recife is a place to visit accompanied by your family, and to enjoy the marvelous architecture and nature.
