If you are thinking in coming to Ibera wetlands and you wonder what are the things to see and do in here, what activities to expect and how to make the most of your time here then you can read our review.
First of all Los esteros de Ibera are located in the Corrientes Province in the north east of Argentina. It is a pretty warm (to hot) area a big part of the year. The lodges and hotels are located in Colonia Carlos Pellegrini in the lake shore from where you get most the boat trips to birdwatch and to wild animal spot.
The variety of animals to be seen goes from dears, caimans, monkeys, Capybaras, wolfs and many birds.
Staying between 2 to 3 nights is a perfect stay in order to get 2 boat trips, a horse back ride and to enjoy the pool of the hotel and hang up in a very small and cozy town.
Bringing Sun protection, Mosquito repellent and summer clothing is advisable almost 10 months a year- Between June and August there are a few cold weeks when you may need some warm stuff.
There are 2 ways of coming here one by renting a car in Posadas or in Corrientes city and drive all the way which is a nice ride ( in rainy days it can be difficult as the last part of the way is in a dirty road and it can get hard) or book in some of the good travel agencies a nice
travel package that will include accommodation and activities.
