There is a magical place where nature give us wonders, It is called Esteros del Iberá which is an extensive wetland that covers 25,000 km² in The Province of Corrientes, in northeast of Argentina. It develops a subtropical and tropical ecosystem of great diversity.  Esteros del Iberá, a wild paradise full of life almost unexplored in Argentina, accommodation is possible in a traditional rural estancia, where you will have the opportunity to learn about gaucho culture.  Sure it will be an unforgettable trip that combines wildlife, unique landscapes and a cultural immersion.

Embalsados are floating islands formed by aquatic roots and sediments. Its thickness can vary from a few centimeters to reach 2 meters, holding 150 kg of the deer of marshes that walk on them without any difficulty. These islands can be moved by strong winds, permanently changing geography lagoon which have originated many of its varied legends.  In many places propulsion is without motor and with help of the pole, to make our way between streams and aquatic vegetation.  It is the area where the greatest concentration of fauna is found: Carpinchos, deer of the marshes, river wolves, black yacaré and overo, together with a great variety of aquatic birds (350 species).

Capybaras, monkeys, yacarés, birds and deer. Mountains, lagoons and jungles. Iberá has many charms to live from inside, tasting typical foods and walking its enchanted paths. To immerse oneself in the universe of Iberá is to discover a paradise framed by the beauty of the province of Corrientes. From the moment you arrive in Colonia Carlos Pellegrini you can see birds of all colors, imperturbable capybaras and deer from elusive marshes. In the morning, very early, it is the perfect time to contemplate the fauna and its customs and during the sunset the animals unfold their greater activity before present public.

Along little streets of Cologne and walking, cycling or in typical cars, an unforgettable walk begins. With calm rhythm, travelers receive dawn on the bridge surrounded by the song of the birds, and then visit some adobe ranch, an authentic example of the traditional architecture of Corrientes. Inhabitants of Pellegrini also invite to walk and enjoy surroundings from perspective that gives to ride on horseback with curious names tame specimens.  Between rest and contemplation, visitors learn ecology in one of the largest protected wetlands in the world. Streams, slides, Enbalsados are home of hundreds of birds, infinite reddish horizons, a warm spirit and so calm causing we want to extend our stay a little more.

After tasting typical food, rest comes at campsites, inns, hostels and lodges with a variety of services, where you can catch slow pace of life. Colony is a divine pool that marvels minute by minute.  It's hard not to be amazed at so much wildlife: huge tame capybaras, endemic birds, swamp deer, monkeys that howl in the middle of the mountain, yacarés -big and huge- and many others accompany crossings and wild landscape.
