Parque das Aves is an internationally recognized center for the recovery and conservation of birds, located in the middle of the rich and exuberant Atlantic Forest, next to the Iguazú National Park. It is an essential tour for those who visit Foz do Iguaçu, where you will experience direct contact with more than 1400 birds, covering about 150 different species. The park was opened in 1994 and it is set within 16 hectares (40 acres) of exuberant Atlantic Forest maintained to form the best habitat for our animals.  It is not a walk like any other, it is a unique and unforgettable experience in which you will find incredible birds from all over Brazil and from different parts of the world, many of them threatened.  There is much to feel and appreciate, beauty is everywhere. Birth Park shelters birds that have no more conditions to continue in nature and keep them in an environment where they can live happily.

Main attractions:

Tree of Life
The Tree of life is the representation of this legendary tree of Nordic mythology that brings a lesson about human ambition and the preservation of nature.

Pigeons Room
The current space of the Pigeon Hall of Birds Park was created in 2009 and recently expanded, with the inclusion of a new area that allows visitors to closely observe the feeding times of the animals, as well as all other care directed to the pigeons. In this new area, there is a variety of information related to care with chicks, including a video, as well as the possibility to talk with technicians during feeding time of chicks.

Forest aviary
The Atlantic Forest is dense, humid and biodiverse. It covers the entire area of the Iguazú National Park. Many species of birds live in the different layers of this incredible biome. Know paujíes in search of fruits and insects in the ground, magpies and thrushes that sing on branches and jacutingas watching everything, from tree tops

Encounter with macaws
In the Encounter with Macaws, the visitor stays in the middle of macaws, in their natural habitat, being able to experience very close sensations and feelings of that incredible opportunity. The visitor is surrounded by macaws from all sides, and can observe them with attention while birds observe him.

Owls
Owls are owners of the night and more than 20 species can be found in Brazil flying after sunset. In Parque das Aves you can see some of these wonderful species in broad daylight.

Kingdom of butterflies
Some cultures believe that when a butterfly poses on you, it is a sign of good news. Get lost in this constant metamorphosis in a delicate and charming nursery, shared by numerous species of butterflies and hummingbirds that will change your life.

Refuge of harpies
The harpy with its majestic posture and strength without equal, is the most powerful bird of prey in the world. It lives in canopies of dense forests from southern Mexico to northeastern Argentina. In Parque das Aves there is the largest nursery for reproduction of harpies on display around the world.

Reptile's lair
Did you know that birds are close relatives of reptiles in terms of evolution? For you to know a little more about this group, Parque das Aves gathered a stimulating habitat where you can observe some of the great reptiles of Brazilian fauna, such as pythons, iguanas, yacarés and feared anaconda.

Restaurant
After a lovely walk, nothing better than being in a pleasant atmosphere and enjoying a delicious meal. Parque das Aves restaurant has an unforgettable view of the Lake of Flamingos, where birds amaze all visitors.

Birds Park is a sanctuary where you can live a unique experience of coexistence with nature. It is much more than a zoo, so it is important for the traveler that not only his visit will be the typical activity of photos and videos. The interesting thing is to live the experience, coexistence and respect for nature. I highlight the butterfly sanctuary, it was an incredible experience to observe all its life cycle and habitat. I recommend it very much.
