Mar del Plata’s Nightlife

Mar del Plata is one of those cities where the main attraction is nightlife. This interesting city offers a wide variety of tastes, priorities, and expectations for tourists of all ages and every one may satisfy their needs.

The city transforms each evening into a melting pot in which Argentines and tourists mix together. The museums and beaches are attractions for daytime, but at night the spotlight is theaters, bars and boliches (nightclubs).

The nightlife in Mar del Plata starts in three main avenues Avenida Constitucion, Avenida Martínez de Hoz and Avenida Costanera. In the same way, tourists also can find party beaches for young people, and the older ones would choose to go to a theater. The most renowned places to visit at night are here:

Pueblo

There are a youthful crowd and free-flowing beer at this stylish pub. It has a corrugated facade and a cool door that rolls. There, it is possible to watch surf videos. It counts with 11 beers on tap and a menu of a pub.

La Bodeguita del Medio

It is a classic rum-soaked dive. It is renowned for its famous delicious mojitos, you can choose among seven varieties. It has a Cuban- inspired menu, and sometimes there is live music.

The walls are a tribute to Che Guevara. It is the perfect place to be with a group of people to party.

Antares

It is a cool minichain with multiple locations in Mar del Plata. The one in Barrio Los Troncos is the most popular. There you will find a variety of craft beers on tap, an excellent pub food. However, there is also a tasting room, known as Bar de la Fábrica in 12 de Octubre 7749.

Almacen Estación Central

This pub is located in a restored antique building. Here, you will find gourmet pub food, frequent happy-hour deals, and a mostly conservative crowd.

Samsara Beach

It is a nightclub in front of the beach, with a terrace. It is located on the young side of Playa Grande. They offer and afterbeach, so you can spend the evening dancing. It means that is not necessary to wait until midnight to dance.
