Mar del Plata is an Argentine seaside city on the Atlantic coast. Its long stretch of beaches includes wide Punta Mogotes and Playa Grande, with surf breaks. Behind Playa Grande, the tree-lined streets of Los Troncos neighborhood have elegant houses from early twentieth century, which are now museums.
