Mancora is a tourist city in the Piura region, on the northwest coast of Peru. It is known for its sandy Mancora beach, whose big waves attract surfers. The Pocitas and Vichayito beaches are quieter. The main street, Avenida Piura, is full of restaurants, bars and cafes. The thermae of La Poza de Barro and mud baths are located southeast of the city. Migratory whales visit the coast.
