In the Cordillera de Los Andes, in the Province of Catamarca, is the highest concentration of volcanoes with peaks that exceed 6,000 meters, That is the reason they are known as Los Seismiles. This region of Los Seismiles shares scenery with beautiful lagoons of different colors, being the Green Lagoon the largest of them with an intense emerald color at the foot of the majestic Mount Pissis, one of the highest volcanoes on the planet of 6,882 meters above sea level. Starting from Fiambalá, Catamarca to San Francisco Pass, It is considered one of the most fabulous and highest road crossings in the world, and it is true, the photographs do not do it justice. Place that leaves you speechless, overwhelming beauty! It is not well known or visited, this virgin, inhospitable, remote, untamed! REALLY WORTH IT. It is difficult to explain in words how incredible this journey is. In each curve the landscape changes, from Martian reds to lunar grays to colored sands, and you can also spot and cross vicuñas, guanacos, donkeys and suris.

If you travel by 4x4 you can get to the eye of volcanoes and salt flats of mountain range. It is advisable to take a tour guide if you want to leave the route. On the route there are 5 shelters with radio to ask for help.  In any case, fill the tank in Tinogasta, because until the Las Grutas post there is no fuel. Bring water and something to eat because in 200km there is only the Cortaderas hotel complex.

Catamarca surprises you everywhere. Enchanting where it is seen, Circuit of Seismiles is a present for visitors, so that nobody leaves these lands without admiring them in all their magnitude.
