Known as the White City for its architecture sculpted in ashlar, Arequipa shines favored by a climate always sunny and a blue sky inviting you to walk and admire the beauty of its monuments, snow capped mountains, volcanoes and deep canyons, besides you can enjoy of its exquisite cuisine and a nightlife that will encourage you to return more than once. 

Arequipa is the capital and largest city of the Department of Arequipa, is the seat of the Constitutional Court and the "Peru Capital of Laws".  Located at 2335 MASL in the southern zone of Peru, shows its cultural and natural diversity at its deep canyons such as Cotahuasi and Colca becoming one of the imposing tourist attractions of this place. In addition, it has wonderful beaches, snowy mountains, its historical, religious and ancestral legacy have been kept.

The story tells that the Arequipa territory was established by the Inca Mayta Cápac (fourth Inca), the same one who arrived with all his guard and was accepted by the settlers, who answered him in Quechua the phrase "ari qipay", which means "yes , stay. " The first inhabitants of Arequipa were those of the Wari Empire, followed by the Churajón Culture, who introduced activities such as: cultivation, irrigation and agriculture.

The Historical Center of Arequipa, was declared Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity by the Unesco in the 2000, when counting on impressive constructions like the Cathedral Basilica, constructed with base of white ashlar, volcanic stone that is born of the Misti; the Santa Catalina Monastery, the San Lázaro neighborhood, the Selva Alegre neighborhood, the Recoleta convent, among other varied architectures belonging to the White City.

The region of Arequipa also has several tourist attractions such as: Mirador de Yanahuara, which has written phrases of famous people; town of Sabandía, with houses in the republican style; Yura Thermal Baths, known for their therapeutic properties; Caves of Sumbay, rock art with antiquities of 6000 or 8000 years approximately; In addition to the volcanoes Misti, Pichu Pichu, Ampato, Chachani, Coropuna, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca.
